STAYING HEALTHY, THE EPILEPTIC WAY

I have been battling seizures for many years. I want to share my story and help others live better everyday.

THE WATCH

The watch on your wrist that doesn’t just tell you the time of day, but the time in and of your life without even knowing it!

For at least every 30minutes of a day I stare down at my watch, watching the second needle spinning, not ticking (as a quartz watch operated by battery or an Eco Drive, operated by light).

I am speaking of automatic watches which function automatically by hand or wrist movements, and with the individual wearing it.

The watch knows the person, knows the persons daily activities, and it connects with us as we to it.

Especially for us epileptics, I may be sitting on a couch, a chair, whatever the day brings, (which for me is usually solitude, but due to that solitude my watch has stopped in past days which came as no surprise when you sit there, unhappy, stressed out by doing absolutely nothing, which sometimes entails in dodging my head into a book without even reading a word or sitting with my hands on my head without any sudden movements waiting for my wife and my life to return so that I can finally go home, out, whatever, whenever and wherever).

Even so, I know that I am fine when I look down and see the second-hand spin and that the time is right, that is the connection that I have, and as the seconds turn, the minutes and hours pass, I know that I am doing something right.

And it may just be for myself or yours, that if you keep those hands spinning, knowing that your life has a meaning and a purpose, then we can be happy because the day will come when the dials stop, the connection is over, but that day is a long time away!
